Plot
Samorost 2 is set in a space where everything is shrouded in darkness, creating an eerie and slightly unrealistic atmosphere. You are a gnome dwarf dressed in white clothes with a strangely long nose. One day, a spaceship lands in the dwarf’s garden, and two alien thieves appear and try to steal fruit from the garden. Your dog finds out and barks loudly, so the two men on board the spaceship catch you.
You want to save your dog, so you use your self-propelled rocket to give chase. In part 1, you locate and save your dog. In part 2, you and your dog find a way to escape the alien planet and return to Earth.
Gameplay
Set in a strange, mysterious and slightly surreal setting on an alien planet in space, Samorost 2’s story is presented to players through innovative puzzle-adventure techniques.
This distant planet has many different locations, including dangerous ones, and you will go through all these places with your dog and find your way back home.
The control operation in the game is very simple, mainly touch, select and drag the object to move it where you want and perform the required operation. Since the main task of the player is to solve the puzzle, the operation can be said to be very basic.
Puzzle play in Samorost 2 is difficult but not overwhelming. Following on from part 1, in this part you will escape from a strange planet with your dog, but the way back will not be easy. To overcome it you will have to continuously use your thinking, judgment and logic.
As we all know, puzzle games have different tendencies and ways of solving them. In Samorost 2, the puzzles were always about forcing you to find new directions and think outside of the status quo. The goal is to come up with the answer as quickly as possible.

They’re unique and unexpected, always in different shapes, but most feel a bit quirky and oddly unrealistic. Some look like furniture, others like vegetables.
Samorost 2 also has the right sound, lighting and minimalism, which, although it sounds a bit creepy, is quite appropriate for the dark and bleak space the game wants to convey.
